Tawa Team had a wonderful day trip to Raglan beach. Katie and her group completed the beach relay and had a lot of fun. Katie used the key competency of Participating and Contributing by accepting responsibility as an individual and as a group member. She also demonstrated the competency of Relating to Others when she worked cooperatively with her group and was considerate of their thoughts and feelings. |

My animal is the brown kiwi
What does my animal need in its enclosure?
Water, food, bushes to hide in.
What features did I add
just for my animal and how are they helpful?
A little hut for the kiwi to live in and a nest for its eggs. Bushes
to hide in and branches for insects to eat.
Did I make any changes and
why did I decide to do that?
Yes. I made
a little roof for shelter.

Cheetahs
The Latin name for the Cheetah is Acinonyx jubatus. A
cheetah is a type of mammal. It is from the cat family.
Dynamics
A cheetah can crouch down and duck. It creeps to quickly catch
its prey.
Description
A cheetah looks like old yellow grass. A cub looks cute with
its black little spots. A Cheetah is yellow with black spots.
Habitat
Cheetahs live in Africa. Most live in the savannahs of
Africa and there are a few in Asia.
Diet
Cheetahs eat meat from lions, tigers, and other animals.
They don’t eat people and they don’t eat cats, dogs and house pets.
They are extinct in parts of Asia.
